We used to joke that if the food barges ever stopped coming to town, and all the grocery store's dried up, we could BBQ "Watermelon The Pony", And all of Juneau Alaska could feed off this Pony until the ships started running again!<br />I know its morbid. But I just can't help it! <br />And by the way.... Watermelon had a foal some years after I stopped working at that barn... I don't know if it was a colt or a filly, and with the name it's hard to tell, but I'm guessing the owner never did learn about weight control in ponies, because the foals name was "Cantaloupe" and I here baby took on the same 'round' form that mom had. I've thought about doing an informative cartoon about weight control in animals and using those name's. <br />So yeah, your blogs name.... every time I read it, It just got into my head and reminded me about the fat watermelon pony joke...
